Contact adhesive CEM 805 for swelling waterstop and joint sealing strip
CEM805 is a one-component, neutral-odor sealing and bonding compound based on MS hybrid polymer technology. It is solvent-free, silicone-free and isocyanate-free, cures neutrally, is paint-compatible, weather-resistant and offers good chemical resistance.
Applications:Contact adhesive CEM805 is used as a system sealant and installation adhesive for hydrophilic waterstops, joint sealing sheets and concrete plugs.
Typical applications include:
Sealing and bonding in concrete construction for interior and exterior use
Tested for watertightness up to 5.0 bar hydrostatic water pressure (= 50 m water column) in the DualProof System (PVC-P), at product transitions and on concrete surfaces
Crack-bridging up to 2.50 mm down to -35°C (crack-bridging class A5)
Crack-bridging sealant up to 50 m water column
Suitable for use on plaster, gypsum, ceramic, glass, wood, metal and various plastic substrates, as well as galvanized steel and aluminum
Well suited for bonding construction foils and membranes
Suitable for sealing and bonding applications requiring silicone-free systems on site
Butt joint bonding of SilverSeal using CEM805 has been tested and proven watertight up to 2.5 bar (= 25 m water column) Hydrophilic joint tapes (Art. No. 61L) and swelling rubber profiles can be installed in a backflow-proof manner with CEM805 in accordance with German general building authority approval (abP) Also suitable for use with fresh concrete bonded waterproofing systems and joint sealing metal sheets.
Note: Do not apply on substrates such as bitumen, tar or coatings that may cause incompatibilities and plasticizer migration. Standards and certification CEM805 contact adhesive is tested as a sealant in accordance with EN 15651-1 and certified as EC1Plus according to EMICODE.
