Es besteht aus fein vermahlenem, hochquellfähigem Tonmineral (Natrium-Bentonit), eingebettet, als Bindemittel, in eine Matrix aus nicht vulkanisiertem Kautschuk. Zur besseren Witterungsbeständigkeit ist es mit einer sich im Beton selbstauflösenden Folie umhüllt. Achtung! Quellband nicht direkt nageln, nicht kleben - Befestigung nur mit Gitter!
